I’ve slowly been wanting to collect watches, and my first “grown up watch” was an EcoDrive watch that spurned my interests towards wanting my future watches to be one, or have similar features like solar powered.
This particular watch caught my eye because of the colouring and certainly the look. However the price was ridiculous, even for modest budgets. Luckily my patience gained the upper hand and I saw it on sale. I still think I paid a little too much for it ($385), but it was better than the $595 it was sitting at for the first months I saw it.
The one major con I have for it is the clasp. It is different from the ones my other EcoDrive watches have, which are easier to release when needing to remove the watch in quick fashion. This one has an annoyingly tight two part snap mechanism, which comes across as cheaply thought out and made.
Other than that, the style of the face, the clarity of reading the time and the feel of it on your wrist is great!
As a comic fan, this is also a fantastic superficial collective item to posses if you can justify paying for it for either a collection item or to use as a functional watch to have.

This watch is gorgeous. Love the purple accents with the black background. It’s seems like it’s very well made. It was incredibly difficult to resize by removing links, but not a big deal. Would definitely buy again

This is something my now husband has been wanting for quite some time. When he said he wanted to exchange gifts on our wedding day before the ceremony, I knew this was what I was going to buy. He LOVED it! He was unable to wear it for our wedding because it was too big and we were unable to remove a link ourselves, but after a visit to a jewelry store, it is now sized correctly. He was so excited he didn’t think about the time. For whatever reason we are not able to do this ourselves either, so we will have to go back to the jewelry store. If they cannot fix the time, I will have to come back and change/update this review, but so far we love it. The boxes it came in were amazing, too, and everything (boxes and the watch) arrived in pristine condition. He could not believe that he received this as a gift and is very excited about it.
