True to its’ German origin the watch does it’s job efficiently. On aesthetic side, it has a classic, retro look. Overall a beautiful watch embellished with a durable leather strap; I am using for last 2.5 years. – Prodosh Sen

Very good looking watch, nice finish, great retro look.
However the first one was not working and had to ask for a replacement (which came very smoothly in a few days, thanks to Amazon).
This is an automatic watch, needs no battery and winds by hand movement. It has hand winding if needed and also hacking (seconds hand stops when time is adjusted). It glows in the dark too, although faintly.
The accuracy seems fine, shifting about 10 seconds a day, although need to see long term. If the watch is wound full, it seems to go fast during day, and slows down in the night when idle if kept vertical.
The watch looks almost the right size for my wrist, but a bit on the larger side.

Note that Ethos watches have service center only in Delhi even though they have several outlets in Bangalore. So for servicing, you need to drop off here and wait.
Issues:
1) The automatic winding is annoyingly loud and clunky and you can hear when you move your wrist
2) The strap doesn’t have enough number of holes, so it was too loose, had to put them from a local watch shop, who did a poor job.
3) User manual was missing from the second replacement watch
Overall looks good for this price, but could have been less noisy (and hopefully there is no QC problem in general)

The auto winding doesn’t seems very adequate, for 8 hours of wearing (desk job), it sometimes cannot keep the watch running till next day morning. Need to do a bit of hand winding to keep it going. This watch uses Japanese Miyota 821A movement with a uni-directional winding (it winds only in one direction of the rotor, which makes it less efficient and also allows rotor to move freely in the other direction, making it noisy). Wish it had bi-directional rotor like Seiko

It is a great looking and up to now very accurate watch. I love the accuracy of the automatic mechanism that also allow manual hand winding. Wit hte manual winding option, the watch could be wind once a day, and it will keep very accurate time. For <$400 CDN, the watch is stamped Made in Germany, thus, it is a great buy. It is more accurate than my $3000 Swiss watch which lack the manual winding option necessitating me to use an electric automatic watch winding machine that costs an extra $400.

Great watch with good quality
