They are extremely sharp. Do not believe they are clip ons . The end that should have something protecting the end of it does not. It is almost like needles, you could put them in your earring holes if you had them. The two pairs I bought for my bridesmaids who do not have pierced ears were both like this. My sister tried to fix them for my bridesmaids but nothing worked. One of them ended up with a cut and was bleeding 10 minutes before my wedding. I did not check them before my wedding day, and they didn’t try them on. So basically open and check them! Be careful!
