I bought my first Shanaz Husain Herbal Kohl Kajal tube of liner directly from the Shanaz Husain . usa website and I LOVED it, even though it wasn’t as waterproof as I would have liked (I have excessively active tear ducts since I had a stroke), but my daughter helped me find a solution: primer cream. But now to the review of this item…
I bought my original years ago and thought I’d purchased it from Amazon, but couldn’t find a record of it…AND couldn’t remember Shahnaz’ name! I checked various name spellings and found this product, and so, delighted, I purchased it. I was disappointed to find it’s not the same as the one I purchased before directly fromthewebsite (I found an email confirmation of purchase from the website).
This tube, unlike the one from my original purchase, is not a straightforward “lipstick style” tube, but a tricky, push-button affair, the point on the liner is nearly as small in diameter and as sharp as a freshly sharpened writing pencil and I kept jabbing my eyeball whilst trying to apply it.
I will say that, after wearing this one for 2 hours, this product did not “weep” to the inner corners of my eyes and only slightly slipped onto my lower lids. And it doesn’t make my eyes itch, so there’s that.👍🏽
Now, if I could only apply it like the original, fatter version I got from Shanaz’s official website, without having to have an opthalmic surgeon on speed dial….
I will be ordering again from the official website, and if the product I receive from them is like my original purchase, I will be submitting a query to them about any differences between the two products.
Better safe than sorry.
My final opinion on this purchase: but for the sharp, fine point and troublesome tube, so far it seems to be good enough. The 3 stars reflect the design of contents (narrow diameter, too sharp point) and the tube which contains it, not the liner.

This product doesn’t actually work. If you want Kajal I would suggest buying it from a reputable person. There is a girl on TikTok, who sells hers, but they usually are sold out for a good reason. This doesn’t have the pigmentation that any eyeliner would have normally. So you’re not actually getting a good makeup look. I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
