A lot of people confuse MMTC and MMTC-PAMP, just to brief you all, MMTC has a minor stake in MMTC-PAMP, the major stakeholders are PAMP S.A. (Switzerland).
Coming to the product review, you will never be disappointed. MMTC-PAMP has the best products in India, pricey but best! MMTC-PAMP bullion (most of it) has a serial number and barcode, upon scanning the barcode it will tell you the product code and serial number, hence it acts like a security feature. I had visited MMTC-PAMP’s corporate office in Green Park, New Delhi and I came to know that they have 0 weight tolerance policy. Zero weight tolerance means you will get the correct weight as specified on the bar/coin, in fact there are chances it will be more in weight as compared to less.

To be precise this was my first purchase of precious metal online which I ordered about 1 week back and received today and don’t regret it. I was a little sceptical about online purchase however decided to take a calculated risk based on reviews ( 7% negative review is not that bad and risk exist everywhere). Mainly writing this review as input to other first-time buyers like me.
– Considering current volatility, Prime offer provided the best deal in the market, both online and physical brand stores ( excl. local Jewellers which I haven’t explored ) -As I said this was my first online gold purchase, I was sceptical about delivery security and insurance against fraud. However, in 7% negative reviews, most of the concerns were on BIS Hallmark/certificate etc or tampering with packaging. Although my understanding of reviews was that coin was still intact ( pls let me know if coin packaging was tempered ) and only one odd case stated about missing coin while delivery which I discounted. – Considering concern on BIS hallmark/ certification, as the coin is in standard laminated packaging with certification number mentioned on the coin and on the packaging along with 2D QR code on lamination, and with all three matching – I am personally satisfied. Would recommend cross-checking for personal satisfaction. – On the delivery side, the coin was in a laminated card( about 3X2 inch )>> packed in small PAMP branded paper/cardboard box ( really nice in case you planning to gift ~ about 4X3 inch)>> placed in a metal box ( about 5×4 inch)which was nicely secured by two seals from PAMP with S.No on each seal to avoid tempering >> this metal box was placed in standard Amzaon price cardboard packaging packed with their standard Amazon-branded sealing tape. Although while taking delivery would suggest you crosscheck Amazon box against any damage/tempering and in case there was, pls check inside metal box seals also. Based on my scepticism, I realized the metal box was brand new without any scratch marks, in case there are scratches, maybe either product wasn’t handled properly or tampering attempt. Although the possibility of tempering seals looks remote, however, double-checking never hurts. Delivery was via BlueDart, a reliable courier partner and well on time despite current COVID situation. Overall nice product and great experience, they ensured the best level of safety and surety. Definitely would consider Amazon for next purchased against going to the physical store for such standard products.
