With today’s routine and lifestyle, especially post covid when we are spending more time at home, you never notice much, but you soon gain a lot of weight. The worst part is that as easy it is to gain weight, losing is as tough.
Having PS 115 already, I was pretty much aligned to this upgraded version PS 141 from same brand, for my parents.

➕ PROS

1. Stable, sturdy, and fairly accurate weighing machine. Glass top looks good and merges well with marble flooring.
2. Its accuracy lies somewhere in +/- 100-200g range as per what I have seen so far
– I have checked it with multiple readings at the same time and every time it was the same, plus it gace accurate results for 5kg grocery packets
3. LCD is completely black and displays White glowing characters once on
4. Batteries should last long, as my other PS 115 model is still working with same set after more than a year of use
5. Four rubber shoes are provided for a proper grip
6. Plug and play kind of- just insert the batteries and forget
7. Unit setting – Kg/Lb./st can be done via directly accessible unit button on the back side (no need to open battery compartment to access the button)
8. It would auto off after 10 secs, once you step out of platform, machine displays reading and blinks it 2-3 times
9. Unlike other weighing machines, this one doesn’t require initialization (pressing scale with foot or hand to see random numbers on screen finally settling to 0.00) every time you want to check weight. Anytime, simply step on the machine and it displays correct weight. (It auto initializes once we measure weight, by setting zero point every time we step off the machine)

No cons encountered so far on this machine.

Some may find continuous measurement in other variants a better way. PS141, measures first, and then displays final result on screen after a pause of 3-4 secs, while other models need one time initialization and continuously display reading, and any change in subject changes the reading.

This means in PS141 every time you need to wait for 3-4 secs between measurements, while in others multiple people can check weight one by one without any delay.

❗ IMPORTANT

1. To measure, step on the surface, 4 dashes are displayed in sequence while its measuring the weight, and then “step off” is displayed. Once we step off, it takes 3-4 sec to display the reading
2. For comparison, it is better to measure weight on the same time of day to account for food-water intake or other activities impacting measurement. Best to measure with empty stomach in the morning. (Let’s say you measure it in the morning today and afternoon tomorrow, todays weight would include weight of breakfast, and tomorrows would include weight of food consumed during breakfast and lunch (which is significant))
3. Ensure similar set of clothing as it can also impact measurement by great margins
4. Never ever stand on the mid area of machines platform as it may break the glass. Always, keep your foot on the side zones.
5. Keep machine on a flat surface

🏆 VERDICT

I was a bit relaxed wrt this purchase considering another model working great at my home. You can very well go for this model without any second thought, or if looking for cheaper version PS115 is a great choice – just that it required initialization everytime you wish to measure weight.

I have been using this weighing machine from two years now. It does not need a change of battery frequently. I have changed the battery only once. Stable and sturdy.

Display is clear and bright. Light weight.I broke the previous tempered glass (a costlier one) and hope this one doesn’t .

It has been 1 year , good product , clear digital meter.
