Okay so I am hopeful about this product. I am in no way an expert on anything hair related, not even my own hair. My first use did not yield any noticeable results, my second use I felt my curls were very nourished. I coated my hair in the oil for 2 hours, very strong smell by the way, and washed with a gentle oil infused shampoo. I did my deep conditioning mask and a thermal protectant. Rinsed that and combed thru a light styling lotion. After that I did 4 sections of 2 strand twists and did a bonnet dryer for 15 minutes. End result are that my curls look shinier and feel softer. I am going to up my once-a-week wash day to every 4-5 days and see what happens. I will update this review and see if my hair feels any healthier.

I am trying to grow my hair out and have been a fan of bhringraj oil to stave off split ends. The issue that I run into is that most of these oils have a very strong smell. This is partly due to the herb itself which is pretty potent smelling. So I end up with great hair oils that I can’t use because I cannot stand the smell.
This is the first hairoil that has a gentle enough fragrance that I can use! The order was shipped fast and was in perfect condition!

I had extreme hair fall and have used lot of hair oils from high end brands and have not seen good results. This oil is just magic in motion and you can see the effect after the first wash itself. I don’t have to use any serum and keratin treatment after using this hair oil. This also has amla and sesame oil which are also very good for hair strengthening from roots. Some people who have allergy to these oils might not benefit, but such a cheap oil is worth a try and pass on to someone else. The oil does contain mineral oil but the overall compound is very beneficial to me and its also paraben and silicon free, hence I will continue to use this oil always. What will I do after knowing the percentage of amla and mineral oil ? So many other high end brand oils whose chemical composition is mentioned have not given me good results!! Many high end brands don’t mention the composition and ratios clearly. Thank you to Khadi Natural, I started using your shampoo which is sulphate and paraben free hence I wanted to try this oil and this has worked. Whole family will use only this oil. I wish Khadi Natural introduces more products and choices, I will try all of them. Am waiting to update this post after using the oil for sufficient time and see reduction in gray hair, as bhringraj always promises 🙂

1/3/2014- This is a nice hair oil. The oil is a turquoise green color and it does have a bit of a smell to it. However, the smell goes away and doesn’t linger all day. I have tried other Indian hair oils that stink really bad, so this isn’t bad at all.
My hair appears to be much healthier when I use this oil. I have had some scalp issues and it seems to be helping with that as well. I heard this oil is suppose to really help with hair growth. I haven’t noticed that just yet but I haven’t been using it that long. I can report back on that aspect, in a few months. The only reason I am not giving this product 5 stars is because they did send me a product that expired in October of 2013 and it is now January of 2014. But, I’m not about to send it back. The product came from India and it would be too much trouble and expense. The product seems to be just fine, regardless.
UPDATE 3/19/2014 I have been using this product consistently for over 2 months. I am working on my second bottle. I must say it has helped my scalp issues tremendously and my hair is 100% healthier. My flakey, itching scalp is no longer a problem and my hair doesn’t seem to be as dry. I tend to not lose as much hair in the shower or when brushing. Overall, my hair is just shinier and healthier. However, as far as hair growth, I didn’t notice a change at all. I was disappointed, as I read it significantly helps hair growth. But, personally I found that NOT to be the case. Also, I wanted to add that when I purchased this product a couple of months ago, it was $7.99 a bottle. Now, the price has jumped considerably to $13.99. That is a significant price hike in just a couple of months. I am on the fence as to whether or not I will order again. It did help my hair and scalp get healthier but it definitely did nothing for hair growth. I hope this update helps someone…

I bought some Aloe Vera Neem all natural shampoo, which has been great for my scalp, but from day to day I don’t know how my hair will turn out. It has a mind of its own when I use that shampoo. I think the shampoo really dried it out, but I didn’t want to switch back to a sulfate one.
I read a few ayurveda webpages and discovered this product. I’m doing as suggested – I take a small amount and massage into my scalp and temples, then into my hair (run my hands through it a few times) then leave on for thirty minutes or overnight, depending on time of day. I rinse, THEN use the shampoo, massage, leave on my hair and rinse after three minutes. Perfect texture, more control and healthier sheen. I love it!
And the packaging was so great I took a photo. The Indian stamps were beautiful, and they’d hand sewn thin white linen together to cover the outside of the box.
I am a fifty one year old Caucasian female with fine, naturally curly, thinning hormonal hair that I color every month. I am taking this to the salon with the shampoo just in case their shampoo and conditioner takes me back to pre-natural days. If the lack of lathering helps my hair growth, I’ll add that later. I am happy enough for now to give the full five stars.

This is a great hair oil. I have used it probably 4 or 5 times so far – each time, i massage it into the scalp with my fingers for a few minutes and also apply to hair, and leave in for a good 3-4+ hours. After shampooing off, my hair looks incredible – full of shine and volume, super healthy, perfect curls – like something right out of a hair ad! The product shipped from India but arrived within 7 or 8 days, so pretty quickly. The smell is a bit much -has that flowery smell that a lot of traditional indian hair oils have, though not as strong as most. I can tolerate it – i don’t notice it much after putting it in my hair, and don’t get any headaches. Overall, i am very pleased with this oil.

If you are looking for completely natural hair oils then it is not for you. The main ingredient of this oil is MINERAL OIL , do not fall for the Bhringraj word. It is more of a synthetic hair oil in my opinion( which can be wrong ) because it contains mineral oil , fragrance and colour all of it do no good to our hairs 😐.
