It is not good for covering greys (doesn’t even provide the 50% coverage its label advertises). If you have a lot of greys I would not recommend this product to you. I have a little patch of greys in front and barely got 30-40% of coverage even after applying repeated coats on same area. The result was golden light brown (like henna color) compared to brown on rest of the hair.
Other than that if you just want to experience different color then go for it. The color that comes out on natural (non grey) hair is pretty beautiful and quality is good. I do miss the applicator comb brush I get with loreal excellence colors which you will not get with this one. The applicator only contains one nozzle type cap. It’s ammonia free so naturally expect less durability than ammonia based colors, but I still liked the over all outcome. If you dislike paying hefty coloring bills at salon then this product is a good choice for you, it will give you salon like finish.

My hair colour journey started with this very shade from loreal and I have never looked back and never used any other brand or different colour.
I have been using Chocolate brown for 3 years now and it’s a perfect warm brown for dusky, wheatish skin! It visibly flatters the skin and there has been not a single time when I haven’t gotten compliments for my hair colour. People usually ask me the shade number and brand. It also looks class and not natural yet natural.. like MLBB shades. If you are someone who wants a visibly different colour, but also want to look somber and sophisticated, this is the colour to go for. Covers my greys perfectly.

First off this falls more on the reddish hue rather than a dark brown which is clearly visible on the shade card. So if you want a red/ mahogany shade this is the one to go to. I was using Schwarzkopf’s warm mahogany which is more of a red shade and since I could not get that in India, I decided to go with this one. As my hair already had the red tinge this complemented the existing shade perfectly and I did not see the orange hue as many red based shades tend to over time. Only con is that as with most hair colors this washes out soon (very visible if you have grey hair). Go for this only if you want an actual chocolate shade and not dark brown. For shoulder length I used the whole pack.
