I have searched tons of hair dyes and settled for this. The smell is different but good thing is the smell has aroma of mehndi also. Thats natural. I guess it has less chemicals.

Beware, it contains PPD, not stated in the listing. I had a severe reaction to this – tested it on a small area of my body, not expecting any reaction at all, because the only ingredient according to the listing was henna. Not true!
Became very itchy after 6 hrs, then next morning work up swollen in the area, with blisters that were weeping, and skin peeling.
Will complain to Amazon that their ingredient list on their website is incomplete and misleading.

Please…..it’s nowhere like henna but almost a dye!! Right out after hair wash and there is a visible black outline all over my head and at hairline, like dye….tried something like this for first time. I knew it had a dye element but it’s almost a proper dye!! If you want organic thing this is not the one. It felt warm after applying that too when I mixed 1 sachet of black henna with equal qty of Banjara natural henna. This review I wrote many months back.
Today, as of mid Apr 2024, I have been mixing half pkt black henna with say more than 1.5 times normal henna of good dark color and applying to unwashed hair. Then it gives a dark tint. So you have to mix and match to see what works.
