I am writing this review after using the brush straightener for just 2 times.
Both times on fully dried hair and on the higher heat setting.
I have frizzy and long hair with medium thickness.
About my amazon experience:
Received this product in less than 24 hours of placing the order.
The very first thought that came to my mind when i saw the product was “is this original?”
If any of you have the same question, then Yes! Yes, It is original.
I doubted it because, the box was slightly damaged, but the product was fine.
And then the heating plate on the brush was supposed to look purple, but when i opened it, it looked silver(could be because of my room’s lights, i don’t know).
Then When i took a picture, It looked purple in the pics.
After heating, it looked much more purple than silver. So that way i was relieved.
To be a 100% sure, i registered my product on the Philips official website immediately.
Note before using product:
1. Make sure to comb and detangle your hair properly before using this product to reduce hair breakage.
2. Start brushing your hair in sections. You can take bigger sections than what you would normally use on a flat iron.
3. Follow the instruction manual.
4. Very Important: Register your product on Philips official website immediately, if you want to use the 2 year warranty service.
Pros:
1. Heats up within a minute.
2. Can get naturally straight hair in 5 minutes. Not sleek straight. But definitely a smooth straight. If you know what i mean.
3. Super easy and quick to use. Even if you’re in a hurry, you can use it.
4. Perfect for everyday use.
5. You don’t need to make tiny sections, as opposed to a flat iron.
6. The black bristles are longer than the heating bristles, so even if you touch them accidentally, it wont burn your hand or scalp.
7. This is a blessing for frizzy hair type.
8. The cord is 180 cm long. And the swivel cord could help avoid breakage.
9. There’s a loop in the cord to hang it on a hook.
Cons:
1. As quick as it heats up, it doesn’t cool down quickly after the use. It takes almost 15-20 minutes to completely cool down.
2. It’s a bit pricey. Definitely an investment though!
3. Doesn’t detangle your hair. If you don’t comb before using it, your hair will get stuck mid way. Don’t try to pull, it will damage your hair and cause more breakage.
4. It has a 2 pin plug, which keeps sliding off of the socket. I wish it was a 3 pin plug.
5. Slightly heavy, if the process takes more than 5 minutes, your hands could get tired.

This one is useful only if you have a almost straight hair
Fully curled hair is hard to straighten using this one
This straightener is little tricky to use and hard to operate alone.
Good if you have plenty of money and want to show off
The straightning won’t last long if you have very curly hair

Phillips hair straightener does magic . I regret not knowing this product for such a long time . I had done straightening many times without even knowing such an awesome product existed .
Just go for it without any second thought worth the money spent .
Ladies who prefer temporary straight hairs this is your best choice .

How is the brush different from plates type- the plates have bristles on them making it a brush. The hair still has to touch the plates while brushing through for the straightening to happen. There are 2 sets of bristles – the shorter ones are hot, the longer ones that touch your scalp aren’t (However be careful around the ears, I’ve brushed the hot part around them a couple of times) The broad head is the best part, easy to brush through chunks of hair.
I have it used a few times in the last 45 days that I’ve had it. And here’s the deal – it doesn’t give you super straight hair like a device with plates. But I like the curves it gives. Looks more natural.
An important problem is – once you brush through your hair one time, the hair is too hot to hold and brush again. But you have to be able to hold your hair or use a comb since just brushing through isn’t enough – the hair has to touch the plates for the desired effect.
Since my new Philips straightener with plates turned out to be too small, I was stuck using this and I kind like it now. The process is the same – partition hair and comb through the parts a couple of times. It stays nice and smooth till the next hair wash. In fact, sometimes I comb through hair only in the front for Zoom calls for a smooth look on camera and it works.
I don’t think the hair fall is higher with the brush as long as you detangle your hair with a regular brush first. I wanted a combing movement from my straightener and that’s what I like about this.
I wouldn’t say this is a must buy – use your discretion – but it’s working out well for me.

Initially I wasn’t sure as I have short wavy hair but this product is holy grail !! Gets the work done so quick and the results are amazing..must buy !

The brush is easy to use. Has 2 different modes and gives a naturally straight look to hairs than flat iron. Better than flat iron. Brush Takes less time . The straightening stays for short period of time, about day or 2 but thats what i wanted so worth the money.
