I wanted a watch brand that has a reputation for affordable quality, so I primarily searched Bulova, Seiko, and Citizen. I settled on this one, which is my first Citizen, and am very pleased.
You can see and feel the quality in the details. It is extremely accurate. The second hand hits the indices very precisely, unlike any other quartz watch I’ve owned. The crystal has very good scratch resistance and anti-reflective properties. The band is super comfortable, beautifully finished, and the push button clasp is secure and operates smoothly.
If I had to find one thing that isn’t excellent, it would be the luminosity; it’s just so-so; it works after being exposed to daylight, but dims pretty quickly. For $62 I thought I’d receive a decent looking Chinese knock off. Nope. It’s a genuine Citizen…for 62 bucks!
There’s really nothing eye catching or beautiful about this watch, but it is handsome, and it smacks of quality everywhere.
